Weekly e-connection to Life Connection Church in Euless, TX

Dear Friends,

If you are female you will not need to read the next line.

Guys, tomorrow is Valentine’s Day.  No matter how many times she says “it is no big deal”, “I know the economy is bad”, “we are short on funds”, or whatever…..do not fall for that…….Get something……You can spend less this year….That is the national trend….but do something…..

Now, back to our regular scheduled programming.

Dear Friends,

I hope you are having a great week.  I know we had some weather scares this week.  We are praying for the people in the NE Tarrant county area that had some home and property damage.  We are thankful for no loss of lives or major injuries.  We are also praying for healing for the families with the loss of lives and property to our North in OK.  It is just a reminder that life can change in an instant.  I pray we are thankful for every moment we have to live and we make the most out of our blessings.

We had some LCCers at DFW Airport this week welcoming soldiers home from the war.  It was an incredible experience.  Thanks to all of you who were able to participate at different times during the week.  You were God’s love with skin to some men and women who really needed it as that stepped off that plane.  WE WILL BE DOING IT AGAIN….

We have about thirty LCCers going to a retreat this weekend in Denton.  It is our second annual LEAP Retreat.  It is Valentine’s weekend and we will be focusing on Loving God and Loving people.  Our topics will include: How God Loves Us Even in the Tough Times, How to be a Good Friend, How to be a Listener, and Investing in the lives of others and inviting them into the family of God.

It is going to be a great weekend and your prayers for changed lives and spiritual and relational growth would be greatly appreciated.

Then on Sunday I will be back to teaching from the Gospel of Luke.  Last Sunday we learned what kind of faith Jesus calls amazing, and it was the faith of a gentile that didn’t even know Jesus personally.  He just had faith.  He had faith in Jesus’ power over everything including life and death.  He had humble faith, recognizing that he was not worthy to even be in Jesus’ presence.  What did Jesus say?  Amazing…”I haven’t seen faith like this in all Israel!” Luke 7:9….  That had to be pretty exciting for the Gentile Luke as he reported on the life of Jesus.

Then, we were amazed by the compassion that Jesus showed the unbelieverwho was mourning over the loss of her only son, and the amazing grace Jesus showed John the Baptist when he was depressed and doubting his faith….

This Teaching is uploaded on our web page here…. Teaching Online

This week we will continue in the incredible life of Jesus and see how he Loves those the world does not believe is lovable.  Jesus gives incredible “Relief From Darkness.”

Remember whose you are….
