No hope = death. (Spiritual/Emotional/Physical)
Worldly Hope = wish or anticipation

Hope in God = Trust for the best from the One who gives the best. Hope for past, present, future.

LEAP Verse – Listen – Engage – Apply – Produce

And in another place Isaiah said, “The heir to David’s throne will come, and he will rule over the Gentiles.
They will place their hope on him.” Rom 15:12

Hope Filled Life Through Christ

1) God blesses us as His children.

And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory. Rom 8:17a

2) We share in Christ’s suffering. (mission)

But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering.
Rom 8:17b NLT

Common Worldly Ways to Deal with Problems
 Beg (9-11 prayers)
 Run
 Hide
 Compare

3) We share in Christ’s future.
Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later. Rom 8:18 NLT

God’s glory will be revealed in us.

For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! 18 So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.2 Cor 4:17-18 NLT

4) When we don’t even know what to pray; God does.

And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.
Rom 8:26 NLT

5) We know God makes good out of everything. God knows what is good better than we do to be like Jesus.

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

29 For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn[b] among many brothers and sisters. Rom 8:28-29 NLT

6) We are hope carriers.

That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day.2 Cor 4:16 NLT

We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.2 Cor 4:7 NLT

Who do you know that needs hope?

I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. Rom 5:13
