The Power Of One Heart

We are not to serve God alone.
Jesus will be opposed and so will His followers.
LEAP – Listen – Engage – Apply – Produce
When they heard the report, all the believers lifted their voices together in prayer to God: Acts 4:23a
1) There is great power in going to God together. In worship and prayer.
Worship God and find comfort in His absolute power.
“O Sovereign Lord, Creator of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them. 4:23b
“The sovereignty of God is the pillow upon which the child of God rests his head at night, giving perfect peace.”

2) Go to God with the problem.
…you spoke long ago by the Holy Spirit through our ancestor David, your servant, saying, ‘Why were the nations so angry?
Why did they waste their time with futile plans?
The kings of the earth prepared for battle; the rulers gathered together against the Lord and against his Messiah. Acts 4:25-26
God is all knowing and He knows the problem.
…were all united against Jesus, your holy servant, whom you anointed. Acts 4:27
But everything they did was determined beforehand according to your will. Acts 4:28
3) God uses all situations as part of His story.
And now, O Lord, hear their threats, and give us, your servants, great boldness in preaching your word. Acts 4:29
4) Pray for boldness to do Jesus’ work if God changes
the situation or not.
Stretch out your hand with healing power; may miraculous signs and wonders be done through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”
5) God reminds you He is involved and can handle it.
After this prayer, the meeting place shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Then they preached the word of God with boldness. Acts 4:31
6) One heart with God creates one heart with His
All the believers were united in heart and mind. And they felt that what they owned was not their own, so they shared everything they had. Acts 4:32
There were no needy people among them, because those who owned land or houses would sell them 35 and bring the money to the apostles to give to those in need. Acts 4:34-35
