Series: I Love My Church 2016

Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other. 12 No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us.1 John 4:11-12

We need our _______________ family to express and experience God’s love.

LEAP – Listen – Engage – Apply – Produce

He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love. Eph 4:16

We need our church family to reach spiritual _______.

Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers.
Eph 4:11

Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. Eph 4:12

This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ.
14 Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth. Eph 4:13-14

• Christlikeness
• Confidence in the truth of the faith
• God’s love with skin towards encouragement
• Cooperation in the mission over the individual.

2) I will support my church _______________.

Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples. John 13:35

3) I will care more for what _____________ can do for my church than what my church can do for me.

4) I will pray for my church _____________, family members and the influence we have with future members of God’s church family.

Here is a trustworthy saying: Whoever aspires to be an overseer desires a noble task. 2 Now the overseer is to be above reproach, faithful to his wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, 3 not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. 4 He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him, and he must do so in a manner worthy of full respect. 5 (If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God’s church?) 6 He must not be a recent convert, or he may become conceited and fall under the same judgment as the devil. 7 He must also have a good reputation with outsiders, so that he will not fall into disgrace and into the devil’s trap. 1 Tim 3:1-7

5) I will lead my _________ toward spiritual maturity.

6) I will __________________ my church.
