Jesus’ gift of peace is for individuals who choose it, not for the world.
If you want peace you have to put your faith in the peacemaker.
I have come as a light to shine in this dark world, so that all who put their trust in me will no longer remain in the dark. John 12:46
Light gives hope, love, joy and peace.
Jesus replied, “My light will shine for you just a little longer. Walk in the light while you can, so the darkness will not overtake you. Those who walk in the darkness cannot see where they are going. John 12:35
A life in the dark is a life of;
• Unfulfilled depression
The Practical Benefits of Peace in The Light
1) A sense of completeness. (Shalom)
“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid. John 14:27
2) Encouragement when I am disappointed.
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. 29 For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. Rom 8:28-29
3) Strength and courage to persevere.
Even when I walk through the darkest valley,
I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me.
Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me. Ps 23:4
4) Guidance toward right choices.
For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true. Eph 5:9
5) Makes ______________’s life full and purposeful.
