LEAP – Listen – Engage – Apply – Produce
Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.
2 Cor 12:9
The Benefits of Recognized Weakness
1) God wants to shine through your weakness.
Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful. 1 Cor 1:27
You cannot do God tasks in your own strength.
But Moses again pleaded, “Lord, please! Send anyone else.” Exodus 4:13
2) Relying on God will guarantee you see God work.
That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Cor 12:10
3) It will keep you humble. (Glorify God)
even though I have received such wonderful revelations from God. So to keep me from becoming proud, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger from Satan to torment me and keep me from becoming proud. 2 Cor 12:7
4) You will see and value the strength of others.
In fact, some parts of the body that seem weakest and least important are actually the most necessary. 1 Cor 12:22
The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ. 1 Cor 12:12
5) You can better relate to the weaknesses of others.
He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us. 2 Cor 1:4
