Next Level Faith – Book Of James
This letter is from James, a slave of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ. I am writing to the “twelve tribes”—Jewish believers scattered abroad. Greetings! James 1:1
James was a half-brother of Jesus.
For even his brothers didn’t believe in him. John 7:5
What changed James from a skeptical younger brother to a front-line leader of the new Christian church?
It’s the resurrection that changes all of us.

For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. 4 So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing. James 1:3-4
Your faith is tested when you obey the Word of God.
Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. 32 And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:31-32
God wants us to become like Jesus.
Oh, my dear children! I feel as if I’m going through labor pains for you again, and they will continue until Christ is fully developed in your lives. Gal 4:19
The Journey Toward Next Level Faith
1) How to grow through trials of life.
If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. James 1:5
2) How to practice what God preaches.
So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless. James 2:17
3) How to make your words improve your heart.
And so blessing and cursing come pouring out of the same mouth. Surely, my brothers and sisters, this is not right!
4) How to have peace and give peace.
And he gives grace generously. As the Scriptures say,“God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. James 4:6
5) How to be patient and stay close to God at all
For examples of patience in suffering, dear brothers and sisters, look at the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord.
