Patience is not just the ability to wait.
It’s a fruit of the Spirit, engulfed in love, able to wait without a negative response, knowing God is good, in control, and means to make all things work for the good.
Patience is a sign of inner strength.
Impatience is a form of unbelief. It’s what we begin to feel when we start to doubt the wisdom of God’s timing or the goodness of God’s guidance. ~ John Piper

Dear brothers and sisters, be patient as you wait for the Lord’s return. James 5:7
Being patient is part of the Christian job description.
We prove ourselves by our purity, our understanding, our patience, our kindness, by the Holy Spirit within us, and by our sincere love. 2 Cor 6:6
We have been beaten, been put in prison, faced angry mobs, worked to exhaustion, endured sleepless nights, and gone without food. 2 Cor 6:5
Five Steps To Develop Patience
1) Put yourself in situations to practice the attitude or condition of patience.
People with understanding control their anger; a hot temper shows great foolishness. Prov 14:29
2) Remember how patient God is with us.
The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.
2 Pet 3:9
3) Fully trust God that all will be used for the good.
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. 29 For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. Rom 8:28-29
4) Practice the disciplines of getting to know God.
Be FAT ….. Faithful Available Teachable
But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night. 3 They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do. Ps 1:2-3
5) Follow the golden rule.
“Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets.” Matt 7:12
