royal motorcycleDear Friends and Family of LCC,

I have really been challenged and enjoyed teaching through the book of Romans.  As you know I called the series: The Greatest Letter Ever Written.  Throughout history, so many people have become believers and so many others have taken their faith to the next level reading and understanding the Paul’s letter to the church in Rome.

I am just a couple of teachings away from finishing this series. I hope you have enjoyed it and it has helped you grow in your faith or maybe even made the Gospel clear to you for the first time.

Way back in chapter one the apostle Paul wrote, “I am writing to all of you in Rome who are loved by God and are called to be His own holy people. May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace.”  What a great way to open such an important letter.

Now in Chapter fifteen the apostle is closing out this letter by telling us to remember who and Whose we are.  He writes that he knows we know, and that we can even teach each other.  But we need a reminder.  It’s not natural for us to live a holy or sacred life.  It’s supernatural.

In this passage of Scripture we are going to be reminded that the new life we have been given by God through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit is a sacred one.  We are Holy and we are to live holy lives.

I am calling this message, “Your New Life Is A Sacred Task. “I will be teaching from Romans 15:14-33.  Read ahead.  I hope to see you Sunday.

NEW WORSHIP LEADER – We are searching for a new Sunday morning worship leader.  We will have some great subs in for the next few weeks.

We are also searching for a part-time or intern Student Pastor for our 6th -12th grade students.

Please be in prayer for the people God has for us.

LCC will be participating in “Operation Back to School” on Saturday August 23.  They need 400 volunteers to serve all the families in need.  You only sign up for two hours.

Fifty Four Percent of the kids in HEB ISD come from economically disadvantaged families.  This is a great way to be God’s love with skin.  If you can’t volunteer you can donate money online.  Just $25.00 provides a kid with a backpack full of school supplies.

I hope to see you at church on Sunday.  Bring a friend.

God bless from your brotha from anotha motha
