And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. Heb 10:25

It’s never about pleasing ourselves. (pride, temptation)

1 We who are strong must be considerate of those who are sensitive about things like this. We must not just please ourselves.

We should help others do what is right and build them up in the Lord.

Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up. 15:2 NIV

People pleasing is not wrong.  It is the motive for which we please that determines whether it is wrong or right.

Wrong:  Pleasing people to please people.

Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant. Gal 1:10

Right: Pleasing people to honor God and Truth.  When you honor God, the rewards are the Fruits of the Spirit.

the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! Gal 5:22-23

How To Be The Right Kind of People Pleaser

Be God’s love with skin. Be like Jesus.

For even Christ didn’t live to please himself. As the Scriptures say, “The insults of those who insult you, O God, have fallen on me.”

For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.  Rom 8:29

 Have faith in God’s promises.

Such things were written in the Scriptures long ago to teach us. And the Scriptures give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God’s promises to be fulfilled.

Live in the Spirit as a follower of Christ.

May God, who gives this patience and encouragement, help you live in complete harmony with each other, as is fitting for followers of Christ Jesus.

 Worship together

Then all of you can join together with one voice, giving praise and glory to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Humbly accept others and give God the glory.

Therefore, accept each other just as Christ has accepted you so that God will be given glory.
