In this teaching I talk about how you lose your passion?

The Ultimate Controlled life is the “What God says goes” Life

  • Stay spiritually connected. (Don’t hang up)
  • Make Jesus and the work of Jesus your passion.
  • Work the process of allowing God to change you.
  • Worship God by living a sacrificial life.

Full-Time Benefits …. But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! Gal 5:22-23

The part-time Christian life does not impress God

15 “I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other! 16 But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth! 17 You say, ‘I am rich. I have everything I want. I don’t need a thing!’ And you don’t realize that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked. Rev 3:15-17

The part-time Christian life makes God sick.

And so the Lord says, “These people say they are mine.  They honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.  Isaiah 29:13

It’s possible to think you have enough Christ.

The question is are you changed and are you becoming more like Christ every day?

How Do You Lose Your Passion?

1)   May not have had it in the first place?  (You liked the idea – Believe but not commit)

Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. Matt 7:21

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. Rom 10:9-10

2)    Lack of respect or anger towards God.

We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love. Romans 5:3-5

 3)    Love the world and self more than God.  (What I say goes life-disobedient life)

I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.  Romans 12:1

4)   Run with the wrong crowd.  Relationships are powerfully influential.

If there is no resurrection, “Let’s feast and drink, for tomorrow we die!” 33 Don’t be fooled by those who say such things, for “bad company corrupts good character.” 34 Think carefully about what is right, and stop sinning. For to your shame I say that some of you don’t know God at all. 1 Cor 15:32-34
