Joy Franklin is a wife, mother, and administrative professional. She was born in Westfield, New York and moved to Texas at the age of five. Joy grew up in church, became a Christian at a very young age, and was later baptized. She is the youngest of six kids and her family is an important part of her life. Joy and Kevin were married a little over a year after they met and Korbin was born four years later. Joy has been in an administrative roll for the Town of Flower Mound since April of 2004.
Joy shared with me and the church that “Several months ago God put a calling on my heart to serve the church in a greater capacity; at the time I wasn’t sure exactly what that meant. God opened this door for me and I am stepping out in faith. I am excited to use my experience and talents to minister to others and help our church grow!”
What a blessing to have someone like Joy join our staff. My daughter Brooke said, “Joy’s email for church is going to look like the happiest email ever.” Joy@lifeconnectionchurch is not a live email yet but it will be soon….. And that is a pretty happy and cool email address.
Thanks to all who helped with the church work day last Saturday. We had about 25 people and we got everything on the list done by 11:30am. Everything looks cleaner, safer and fixed. A special thanks to James and my wife Lisa for organizing the event.
Please check out the CPR event below and sign up to serve. It is really our best event for being God’s love with skin in our community.
On Sunday, October 28 from 5 to 7 pm we will have our annual fall block party. It is free fun for all and includes a trunk or treat event, free food, bounce houses and other inflattables, snow cones and other fun stuff. We have a mailer going out and we want to personally invite all of the neighbors to come for the fun.
We are collecting candy to give out that night and you can sign up to volunteer at the table on Sunday.
On that Sunday I will begin a four week series I am calling, Don’t Feed the Fears – They Will Bite….
God Bless from your brotha from anotha motha
