Dear Friends and Family of LCC,
I am really enjoying the opportunity to teach through the book of Romans ….  For centuries, so many lives have been changed after hearing this amazing letter the Apostle Paul wrote to the Christian church in Rome.
Do you ever think of yourself as holy?  The Bible says that as Christians, we are holy.  What is that all about?  This Sunday as we continue to look into the first chapter of Romans we will see how Paul, who was once called Saul, changed amazingly to a holy person used by God.
I talk to people all the time who think they can not be holy because of all the bad stuff in their background.  Well let me ask you a question?  Did you ever hunt Christians, drag them out of their house, and have them killed.  Saul did.
Then God chose Saul to work for Him, and He used Saul/Paul to change the world.  He used Paul to very carefully explain to new Christians, who were being greatly persecuted for their faith,  what Christianity is all about.
What does it mean to be holy?  It means you are changed and gifted to work for God.  And it’s not about being a pastor, preacher, apostle or evangelist.  It is about being holy wherever God puts you.  Are you living a holy life?  Do you feel you are Holy?  You could be a holy accountant, mom, lawyer, mechanic, athlete, neighbor or in any situation you are in.
What does that look like?  They did not have the New Testament yet when Paul wrote this section of it.  So Paul said, “Be Like Me.”  We will check out who the new holy Paul was on Sunday.
I look forward to lives being changed. As always when studying and teaching the Holy Scriptures, we will all have an opportunity to listen, obey, and take steps closer to God and the likeness of Jesus Christ.
If you are part of the LCC family or are looking for a church I hope to see you Sunday.  Bring a friend.  All it takes is an ask … And then ask again …
If you are a friend of LCC thanks for your support in every way including, and especially your prayers.
Blessings from your brotha from anotha motha
