So …. You can get used to 70 degree weather in just a few days.  Lisa and I took a trip to Breckenridge, CO last week ….  It was a long but peaceful drive there and back and the cool weather, the three days we were there, was incredible.  The only bad thing about it was we should have stayed a couple of more days.  If you are looking for a cool summer vacation, I recommend Breckenridge.  The locals call it Breck.
And the scenery …. God did some of His best work … I saw a beautiful piece of art work in a gallery that was called, “Majesty“.  It was a wall sculpture of the mountains.  Majesty….  That says it ….  The majesty, power, creativity and sovereignty of God is so visible in His art work we call the “Rocky Mountains”,  photographs don’t come close to representing them.  If you have never seen the Rockies in person, there is no way you could understand.  You can’t experience “The Majesty” in a picture.
That’s how it is with God.  People who don’t know God can’t really understand God.  Until they have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ, indwelled by the Holy Spirit, they won’t get what Christians get from the Father. … Majesty…  You can tell them.  You can show them a picture of God through your life through obedience to Christ and love, but the picture will not communicate “The Majesty” of  our heavenly Father.  You have to be in His presence.
If you are a Christian, it’s because someone told you about Jesus, the Spirit called you, and you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior. You stepped into the presence of The Majesty of God.
The Bible teaches us that faith comes from hearing the Word, and it’s our job to present in word and deed the Good News of Jesus. Rom 10:17 ….
Be patient with your friends and family members who don’t know Christ.  Love them and pray for them.  When they get it, you will know.  They will be overcome with experiencing “The Majesty” of God.  And they will be forever grateful for your assistance in leading them to Him.

Thanks to Matt Miller for filling in for me last Sunday ….  I got to sit in our church with my wife and kids … That doesn’t happen very often.  I loved our worship time lead by Cameron and our worship team and Matt taught a great message on Jonah.
This Sunday I will be starting a two week series I am calling, “Get Cross-Fit for Spiritual Transformation”.
Jesus said to a large crowd:  “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross daily, and follow me.  If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it.  Luke 9:23-24
Jesus was telling His followers that if you really want to follow Him, you have to train daily.  Most people are willing to try Christianity, but not train.  Over the next two weeks we are going to look at the problems with the faith that come when you don’t train and how to train.  What are the disciplines of the faith that make you Cross-Fit?  Come find out.
