Don’t Let Doubt Win
All Christians have bouts with doubt.
Doubt is not bad, it is what you do with doubt.
So John called for two of his disciples, 19 and he sent them to the Lord to ask him, “Are you the Messiah we’ve been expecting, or should we keep looking for someone else?” Lk 7:19
Jesus said of John …. I tell you, of all who have ever lived, none is greater than John. Lk 7:28
Then he told John’s disciples, “Go back to John and tell him what you have seen and heard—the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised to life, and the Good News is being preached to the poor. 23 And tell him, ‘God blesses those who do not turn away because of me. Lk 7:22-23
Doubt left unchecked leads to sins of commission and omission.
Three Levels of Christian Belief
1) Casual – believe in God…(practical atheists)
2) Convenient – if it does not cost me
3) Committed – God’s will over personal.
The opposite of faith is not doubt. Its unbelief.
God Does not Use the Proud but the Humble
1) The unsure. (knows has to depend on God)
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matt 5:3
God to Moses: Now go! I will be with you as you speak, and I will instruct you in what to say.” Ex 4:12
2) The least expected.
Remember, dear brothers and sisters, that few of you were wise in the world’s eyes or powerful or wealthy when God called you. 27 Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful. 1 Cor 1:26-27
3) People who have failed.
Those who believed what Peter said were baptized and added to the church that day—about 3,000 in all. Acts 2:41

There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit is the source of them all. 5 There are different kinds of service, but we serve the same Lord. 6 God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us. 7 A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other. 1 Cor 12:4-7
