A survey was done, and reported in Leadership Magazine, in which 750 Muslims who were converted to Christianity gave five predominant reasons why they chose to follow Christ.
In the past century Muslims have grown from being 12% of the world’s population to 21%. Islam is growing at a rate of 1.81% as compared to Christianity with a 1.23% rate. Thirty-three percent of the world population is Christian. In some parts of the world significantly large groups of Muslims are turning to Christ.
1. The lifestyle of Christians – the love exhibited by Christians toward non-Christians and their treatment of women.
2. The power of God in answered prayers and healing – the supernatural power of God reported in the lives of Muslims converted to Christians.
3. Dissatisfaction with the type of Islam they had experienced- Example is that the Qur’an emphasizes God’s punishment over his love.
4. The spiritual truth in the Bible – the truth of God found in scripture became compelling for them and key to their understanding of God’s character.
5. Biblical teachings about the love of God- In the Qur’an, God’s love is conditional. God’s love for all people is eye opening for Muslims. The next step for many Muslims was to become part of a fellowship of loving Christians.
No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us. 1 John 4:12
My Uncle, a Baptist minister – when we met at the Punchbowl(Hawaii) to lay my father to rest years ago, watched his angry nephew rip into this poor soldier, who wanted to be “Satchmo” while he was playing “Taps”, and slowly walked to my side. He looked at me and asked me to articulate my anger, and I replied, the GOD you all believe in, and my father who didn’t warn me. Now we were on an island that has Buddhist temples, a small mosque(don’t know if it’s still there), Mormon and Jewish temples, and he looks at me and says; I can take you to where they buried Mohammad, can show you where Buddha was laid to rest, and you see the grand mausoleums of the Mormon “Messiahs”, and I know both you and your father, my brother, have been around the world in your country’s service – so tell me, have you or anyone you know – seen the true grave of Jesus? And if GOD sent his only son to wash away our sins, why should HE answer to you when he calls us home?
Some very insightful points.
It shows us once again that we should not only believe the gospel, we should live it. We must ask ourselves, if people are turning to Christ because they see his love lived out in his people, do our lives draw people or push them away from Jesus?
That is for sure Rodney….Thanks for coming by and I hope things are going well down under…..
Royal – Good post. The Muslim population in Texas is growing so rapidly that we are trying to help churches understand how to reach out to them. The People Group Champions Project is one way.

Why are Muslim converted to Christ, and i believe that this is something they can’t do, because of their faith in Muhamed their founder. Please i will be happy to know why.
Thank you,

when you convert, your faith changes. these muslims have found something in christ that muhamed couldn’t offer. it is not a matter of what you are allowed to do, rather what you are compelled to do.
the testimonies of those converted show that they had an encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ and they were really seeking for the truth and seeking the love of God they experienced when they met Jesus
That’s true…. Life Change happens wih Jesus
